All my life, I have been passionate about learning and change.
I offer couple and individual therapy in Chelsea, New York City and Newburgh, New York (the Hudson Valley).
Qualifications
Before starting my private practice in 1989, I worked at Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital in a variety of settings: the in-patient Resident Training Ward; the out-patient Psychiatric and Alcoholism Clinic; and, the out-patient Geriatric center. I also worked at Greenwich House, a treatment program for substance abusers.
As an author, I have written on the process of psychotherapy. And as an educator, I have taught advanced clinical courses in individual, couples, and group psychotherapy at Adelphi University’s School of Social Work (at the New York City and Poughkeepsie New York branches).
As a clinical supervisor, I have worked with psychotherapists and analysts-in- training at the Institute for Human Identity, the Psychotherapy Center for Gender and Sexuality at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, and the National Institute for Psychotherapies. Currently, I supervise psychotherapists in private practice.
